CEE Legal Matters (CEELM) has announced its shortlist for the CEE Deals of the Year Awards – and Doklestic Repic & Gajin law firm (DRG) is one of the rare firms to be shortlisted in more than one jurisdiction. Specifically, CEELM shortlisted our firm for the Deal of the Year Award in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Serbia, DRG has been shortlisted for its role in Ivicom Energy’s EUR 155 million financing for Krivaca Power Plant. In that deal, our firm acted for Nordex Energy (turbine supplier/installer), while our Lex Adria partner firm from Slovenia, Ulčar & Partners, acted as lead legal counsel for the borrower (Ivicom Energy) and sponsors (MK Group and Alfi Green Energy Fund).

Further, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CEELM picked out our assistance in BNBM’s joint venture with coal mine and thermal power plant Ugljevik, one of the biggest investments in that country in recent years. On that deal, our firm worked together with Shihui Law Firm from China.

Launched in 2017, the CEE Deals of the Year Awards recognize the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe. This year’s Deal of the Year Awards Banquet will be held in Istanbul on April 25.

DRG is one of only two firms shortlisted for both Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, indicating the firm’s strong regional credentials. This builds on the recognitions our firm has already received from leading legal directories – both Legal 500 and IFLR1000 rank DRG as a leading firm in all three jurisdictions in which we are present – Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
